The 8ILC will take place in Pirenópolis, one of the most charming towns in Goiás state.
Pirenópolis is surrounded by the unique and diverse flora of the Cerrado, the Brazilian savanna, and is known for the beautiful waterfalls that surround the town, being the perfect setting for nature lovers. The town, which was founded back in 1725 by gold miners, has numerous well-preserved colonial-era houses, churches, and is home to cultural festivals and typical countryside cuisine.
Winter (August) in Pirenópolis is dry and sunny, with temperatures normally ranging from 15˚ to 28˚ C.
The event will be hosted at the convention centre of the Pousada dos Pireneus, a colonial style hotel surrounded by lush nature. The event venue is within a ten-minute walk from the city centre where a variety of restaurants and shops can be found.
English will be official language of the conference. There will be no translation services.
